PC Navigator is an excellent navigation software tool that you can use on your PC, tablet, or laptop to either prepare your journey ahead of time or to be guided while driving thanks to its synthetic voice guidance system. It provides you with detailed 2D and 3D maps, making the driving simulation all the more real.
The program’s interface has clearly been designed with the dimensions of a GPS device in mind, which makes it look like an oversized GPS when installed on your PC or laptop. The good thing about this is that all messages and data are clearly visible from a distance, which makes a big difference when in your car. Though overall navigation leaves still some room for improvement, it has a fairly high level of intuitiveness. It may well be just me, but I found route configuration a bit challenging at times – choosing the starting and destination points wasn’t as straightforward as I expected it to be, leading to a variety of confusing routes. Once you get the hang of it, though, it works like a charm. And the high level of detail – both in the graphics and in the information side – makes up for a bit of extra work. It provides you with information about traffic signals, maximum speeds, and even approaching speed cameras.
It is in route simulation mode that you feel the real power of PC Navigator. Its 3D technology makes you feel as if you were actually driving your car through the proposed streets and motorways. The voice guidance gives you accurate directions, advising you when and where to turn well in advance, and giving you the full name of the street you’re about to enter or turn into.
PC Navigator offers you a plethora of extra information related to both the route itself and the places and landmarks you will be finding on the way. It can make use of GPS technology for the most accurate positioning and directions, and it even allows you to track other vehicles. With its fully updated maps and the addition of new countries, there are less and less places that you cannot drive to using this new edition of PC Navigator.

It's good solid design which just works. It's navigation software which navigates well.
I have used the Navigator software for several years both in the UK and in Europe and it has never let me down.
Take the trouble to set the parameters to suit your vehicle and your driving style and you can get your accurate time of arrival as you set off and you can set the parameters to prevent you ever getting caught for speeding.
I keep looking at the sat-nav market but I can never find a better one.
